Artists and Guests,

More than serendipity, BlackWhite was born from a multitude of conversations inside and outside the walls of Milander; the democratization of the curation began months ago.

The objective was to introduce new artists to the venue as well as challenge a few existing ones to a thematic exercise - while representing the institution's exigencies, needs and desires - and the artist's will - combined with a deep understanding of the art in conjunction with the physical spaces.

Although uncharted at Milander, BlackWhite was truly nurtured by the continual renewal of our relationship to our city, spaces and the concept of bringing an idea to life.

Pastorally, we hoped to have achieved the practice of thoughtful, critical engagement with respect for the artists combined with the audience.

Thank you to all the Artists in this exhibit, past exhibits and future exhibits.

Muchos exitos a todos y gracias de todo corazon.
Ana
