My Very Own Back to School Post

Pre-K

Alexandra

It has been said before, but I will say it again, "happiness is when you realize your kids turned out to be genuinely good people."

Twenty plus years ago we began the journey with Ali and became an Immaculate Conception School and Church family; most everyone I know that took the same walk will say today that it was the best decision ever made.

Today, she is and has been a teacher at Immaculate for some time and we could never improve upon the way things turned out. Our blessings spiraled out of control year after year and to date.

Next year, our grandchild will be entering pre-k at Immaculate too...sitting in the same classrooms, attending mass and making her own Immaculate memories much like her Mom, Dad, Godfather, Godmother and Uncle did in their day.

No doubt we count our blessings every day; living in love and gratitude!

Alert the media! Epochal news with emphasis!

Well, that was me last night when I found out we placed third in the Florida Festivals and Event Association's Sunsational Awards.  I didn't even know we were up for an award, so I was naturally whelmed!

I was pleasantly surprised and humbled to find the FFEA collectively represent 3,500 events throughout the state of Florida and recognizes creative and technical innovations as its' annual convention.

Abel Quintero Comments on BlackWhite Opening Reception August 5th, 2016 at Milander Center for Arts & Entertainment

In the process of collecting findings on social media regarding the opening of BlackWhite last Friday, I found a notable narrative the following day on Face Book penned by Maestro Abel Quintero who was one of 50 plus artists to exhibit on August 5th.

I submit, Abel captured BlackWhite in the spirit in which Fredy Villamil and I had envisioned. If you were unable to attend, please enjoy his beautifully articulated coverage of the evening!
